His Holiness visits Naraharapalli - 14 June 2010
His Holiness Pujyasri Sankara Vijayendra Saraswathi Sankaracharya Swamiji visited Naraharapalli village near Chittoor in Andhra Pradesh on the 14th June 2010.
Located about 10 kms from Chittoor off the main road, Naraharapalli is a quiet village. The Bhajana Mandapam in the village serves as its spiritual centre. It has a beautiful and decorated portrait of the Seetarama Pattabhishekam ceremony. Recently, an image of the Devi was carved on a stone slab in the Mandapam and was consecrated. His Holiness Pujyasri Sankara Vijayendra Saraswathi Swamiji performed Abhishekam and Deepaaradhana to the Devi as chants of Jaya Jaya Sankara Hara Hara Sankara by the villagers rented the air.
His Holiness addressed the villagers in the local Telugu language. He stressed on the need for devotion and prayer in a person's everyday life. He urged the devotees to spend atleast ten minutes each morning and evening in prayer. The practice of routine prayer will put a break to the wavering mind and improve concentration. Sri Swamiji blessed the devotees with fruits and prasadam. On the journey back to Kanchipuram, His Holiness visited a school near the village and performed Anushtanam. He had camped for a day at the same school in 1994 during his Padayatra to Tirupati from Kanchipuram.
